As a volunteer, you’ll become a part of the LICS family as you create miracles of help and hope. Each year more than 600 volunteers, with a wide variety of backgrounds, donate more than 16,529 hours of service, giving hands-on care in our social services area, donation center, thrift store and by providing administrative support, and more. LICS volunteers report a deep sense of satisfaction in contributing to the well-being of individuals and families while working alongside others who have the same desires.
We provide the training for all volunteer positions, so no prior experience is required. Whether working in social services, donation center or helping to make an event successful, you can be a part of the life-saving work we do.
Minimum age requirements: You must be at least 14 years of age to Volunteer at LICS, Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
Volunteering with LICS enables you to:

- Develop friendships with other compassionate volunteers just like you
- Complete your Community Service hours for high school or for a college scholarship.
