SocktoberDuring October, LICS is collecting socks families in Lexington County to celebrate #socktober.
Every night in the United States, an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets. This October, we want 2 million people to prove that even a small act of love, such as donating a pair of socks, can make big difference in the lives of our neighbors who are homeless.
Socktober is an easy and fun movement to help the homeless in your community during the month of October. Kid President creator Brad Montague launched Socktober as a way to get socks and other necessities to the homeless and those who need them in our community.
To participate, have your school, church or business set up a collection site. Encourage friends and co-workers to donate a pair or package of new socks. At the end of the month, all socks will be donated to LICS and given to feet- big and little – in Lexington County.
